NEW PROGRAMS/ACTIVITIES FOR CHILDREN & ADULTS

English Creative Writing (8yrs to 12yrs)

Creative writing is anything where the purpose is to express thoughts, feelings and emotions rather than to simply convey information.

 

We offer a supportive environment where children engage in writing stories, poetry, essays & others. Through these activities, children discover the joy in writing and the intrigue of language. This creative writing course will help your child explore their creativity and build self confidence in their work. They will also learn to appreciate and take pride in work, improve literacy, increase general knowledge and have a lot of fun.

 

Ages 8-10 & 11 – 12
This programme exposes kids to writing and assists them in writing stories, essays and poems. Writing exercises teach techniques such as metaphor and simile, extends vocabulary and encourages creative expression through written work. Kids are also encourages to write, edit and revise essays to improve language literacy.

Ages 13- 15 & 16 – 18

Students will have the opportunity to explore different literary genres ( poetry , fiction, non-fiction) They will also be exposed to general knowledge topics and be actively involved in class discussion towards a certain topic to build self confidence.

1)Adult Mandarin Class for Beginners

This course is designed to guide beginners or those with some basic to master mandarin. It will help the students in understanding Chinese phonetics, Chinese characters, greeting, social expression, business terms etc.
Beijing’s syllabus adopted, course structures are designed according to the requirements of HSK (the proficiency test of mandarin for foreigner under the government of China)

 

2)WING CHUN KUNG FU for Ladies, Men & Children
Wing Choon Kuen originally was part and parcel of Shaolin’s Buddhist theoretical studies. It stressed mainly the formation of one’s personal character and ethics. Kuen Faat (martial techniques) was initially human’s imitation of the movements of animals and birds. After a long period of in-depth study and trails, those movements were arranged into a series of movements we call forms.
The original founder of the series of Wing Choon Kuen was an intelligent, innovative female disciple of Shaolin called Ng Mui Shi Tai. She studied diligently and humbly at Shaolin and eventually became one of the top Kungfu masters. The objectives of her martial techniques were not only to inculcate the high morality of the learner, but also to provide ample physical exercise for fitness and health, through a series of nimble movements. In addition to building up a strong and tough body physically, it also aimed to prevent diseases and defend oneself against any attack from wild animals.

 

3)Essay Writing Class for Chinese Primary School

Essay writing is a very important part in Chinese school examination; students need strong language background and writing skill in order to perform well in the examination. This course is designed to guide Malaysian Chinese school student to improve in essay writing.
作文是华小考试中重要的部分，学生须要良好的语言基础与写作能力以便在考试中考取优良成绩。
此课程是专为我国华小生设的，致力于强化语言基础，及逐步引导学生书写各种UPSR考试的作文题。若你往往在考试中因作文部分失分而无法考取佳绩，这或许因为你本身的语文基础薄弱，或未掌握正确的写作技巧，这课程便是为你而设立。

 

4) READERS CLUB (for 4 to 8 years)

According to statistics, Malaysians read on average 2 books per year only!   To get ahead in the competitive world, we need to be knowledgeable and updated with the latest information.  The best way of gaining knowledge would be through reading! Furthermore, reading is a fun, cheap, easy, convenient and relaxing activity to do!

 

The Readers Club motivates and facilitates children to begin a lifelong relationship with reading, and therefore, grow into adults who read easily and frequently to gain invaluable knowledge and skills for their education, career and leisure.

5) ART & DESIGNING & BEYOND LIMIT ART

The Art & Design is a unique program for students to not only to acquire drawing skills, but also to develop their personal creative expression, master the thinking process in designing and feel enjoyment with art & designing. 
 
Christine Das is highly creative, experienced and excellent in teaching Art & Design. Besides her Art & Design qualification, her achievements include publications, handicrafts, graphic designing, children's book illustrations, edutainment program development, set design, mural painting, contemporary canvas painting, and was the set scenic painter at the Hollywood production of 'Anna & the King'.

Mk Appollian

Naturally talented Mk started drawing human characters at the age of 3, and by the time he was in his 20s, he has already held two solo art exhibitions.  Some of his other creative achievements include: performing the fine art of fantasy make up(e.g. dragon / phoenix) for a beauty school;  illustrating the cartoon drawing of the 12 animal Chinese horoscope for kids & teens; participated in hair competitions and shows; Winnie the Pooh Face Make Up for a promotional event, Created coloring books and tattoo designs for a charity show and consultant on fine art dining and fusion cooking for various café & kopitiam.   Mk has a wide range of experience in various creative industries, from hairstyling, make up, fashion designing, cooking to training and consulting in the art world, as well as sharing and introducing the finer life of self relaxation and stress releasing in the art of nature meditation.  Mk shares his knowledge and skills, and guides and inspires his students to express and expand their art and creativity ‘ beyond limit’.
